“The China trip with CTT went very smoothly. Every “HBSer” enjoyed the trip and even I personally enjoyed it very much and I’m from China! The tour guides were all very nice and took great care of every member on the trip. I was very impressed by the CTT staff and how well they managed such a large group.”

“I instruct MBA students in international business and have utilized the services of CTT for two MBA group visits to China. CTT was recommended to us by another college of business. We found CTT to be very responsive and reactive, especially when we had to change tour numbers and make itinerary changes at short notice. We were most impressed by the caliber of the CTT support staff in the United States and China. This facilitated our business visit arrangements in China. I highly recommend the services of CTT and personally look forward to working with them again in the future.”
- C. Richard Cookson (2007 Colorado Christian University MBA China Trip Leader)
“CTT brought a group of 110 students to Beijing, Shanghai and Xian. Their tour guides had very good English which is difficult to find from local Chinese tour companies. The guides’ local knowledge was also very impressive.
In regards to making changes to the itinerary or adding/dropping people to the program, CTT has a nice, flexible system in place that was very impressive. Another bonus is that CTT has good relations with hotels and airlines so that helped when changes came up which they will.
Another good thing about CTT is how well it manages the cultural differences between Asian and Americans. For example, there were quite a few people who are vegetarians or allergic to peanuts, wheat, etc. In China, people are just not sensitive to those types of special requests. You may not believe it but in China, an allergy to peanuts is so rare that restaurant staff don’t even believe it exists! CTT was able to manage special requirements like this and really made people feel that their needs were being met during the trip.”

“Our previous China trip was handled by a traditional travel agency and let us just say it was not pretty. So disastrous was the experience that by the end students did not even want to get on the bus! This time we sought out CTT’s help and what a difference it made!
Working with CTT was a great experience all throughout. Our program and our students really wanted a unique trip, especially when it came to company visits and CTT really delivered in this respect. CTT helped us arrange company visits spanning over various industries such as telecoms, consumer products, automotive, steel, and even helped organize a really informative discussion panel with American entrepreneurs doing business in China. CTT really did put in the extra effort to meet our needs and it definitely showed during the execution.”

“This past May, I and about 20 other Columbia University ASCE students participated in a special trip to China with China Travel and Tour, focusing on the structural engineering projects going on in a number of Chinese cities. CTT designed a well-balanced itinerary for our college-aged group, and remained flexible throughout the trip, even allowing us to make same-day decisions about certain activities.
The local tour guides were absolutely amazing. Not only were they knowledgeable about the local region, but they had clearly prepared for our technical engineering-related questions too. Our own enthusiasm about the trip was matched by each and every one of the guides, and it was clear that they enjoyed their jobs. It’s often nerve-wracking to be in a foreign country when you don’t speak the language, but with our all-star tour guides, we knew we were always in good hands. The company took care of every detail of the trip for us so that there were no unpleasant surprises along the way and no unexpected costs to cover.
Overall, the trip was a hit! We learned a ton about the different engineering projects going on in China and, most importantly, we had a great time. Some of the students are already asking to go back, and so we’ve decided to plan another trip for next spring!”
